There's a news item in today's Statesman. The relevant part of the news reads as follows: " CAPTION- INDIA overtakes US in total number of inoculations........
While India launched the Covid-19 vaccination drive on January 16 ., and has administered over 33.36 crore doses till date, the US which started its inoculation drive on 14 December, 2020 has given over 32.33 crore doses."
Now coming to the riddle. US population is 31 crore +, wheras, Indias population is 135 crore +. It means 100% of US population has already been vaccinated AT LEAST WITH ONE DOSE, speaking with the most conservative estimate. The same figure in terms of percentage for Indians comes roughly 25%. Mathematicians are very clever people since time immemorial. They have defined certain terms like AVERAGE or PERCENTAGE that have deep rooted implications and gives life to numerical figures in its truest sense.
