Political crisis in the UK government ends: :
‐-------------
Amid the current political crisis in the UK government, Rishi Sunak, an Indian diaspora had launched his bid to be the next Prime Minister of UK following Boris Johnson's resignation. Expectedly, the Indian diaspora in Britain and Indians in India takes FALSE PRIDE at the arrival of "one of their own" on the centrestage, a typical colonial hangover, I PERSONALLY FEEL. Afew days ago a video was seen in this connection.
....In a perversive manner, videos have been resurfaced of Rishi Sunak, who otherwise maintains a low profile, claiming rather pompously that he has, 'friends who are aristocrats, I have friends who are upper-class, I have friends who are, you know, working class', who then corrects himself infamously, ' well, not working class' !
Harsh as it may sound, it is true that the immigrant Indians in native lands need to serve their ADOPTED NATIONS to the best of their capabilities, without any tangible bias towards any other land, as that what nationality is about i.e. sigular loyalty.
It is an important lesson that is forgotten by emotional Indians who willy-nilly insist and believe that there ought to be residual loyalty to the native land, beyond personal emotions.
US Vice President Kamala Harris who conflated her mixed race identity more effectively than most in her campaign, too endured murmurs of her supposedly downplaying her Indianness towards upping her 'black' Jamaican roots.
