Biden's surrender to Taliban

Just a couple of days ago, news paper hits the headline, that reads "BIDEN SAID NO TO ALLIES & YES TO TALIBAN". Taliban captured Kabul on 15th of August, the Independenc day of my beloved country, India. Soon after, the evacuation of people from different nations including Afghans started taking place more or less on a routine basis, but not without problems. In the mean time the Talibans set the deadline for American troops' complete evacution by 31st August. Mr. Biden kept quite for some 2/3 days and assessing the situation made a statement, that the deadline could be extended. The episode that followed soon, exposed Mr. Biden and America's selfish attitude. On 26th, suicide attackers brutally killed about 170 people including 13 American soldiers. The US said it was the deadliest day for American forces in Afghanistan since August 2011. That forced Mr. Biden's flip-flop and making the statement that took the headline. He virtually surrendered to Taliban diktats ignoring America's allies and ignoring responsibility of millions of  common Afghan nationals. Mr Trump after coming to power had said that "America First". Mr. Biden's statement is no different, but for the wordings.

I've a habit of penning down important quotes in a personal notebook by distinguished people. Because they have the power of narrating a truth in short sentences with loaded words. I take shelter under one such quote made by British poet and novelist David Holbrook after American debacle in Vietnam War. The quote says, "The world came to know the mind of American in the Vietnam War. It was the true expression of American National defects,  'the culmination of mindless civilization using criminal means to achieve corrupt ends'. Mr Biden are you listening!.
