It ushers the arrival of spring,

Announces dawns with cukcoos singing. 

It's the day of friendship 

And mending of chasms and broken.                                                 relationships

A celebration to forget mutual grievances,

and smearing of colors on each others' faces.

It's the day when people forget age barriers,

and fill their heart, drenched in colors.

It's the day when colors run riot,

as they come out of sprinklers jet.

It reminds the eternal love of Radha and                                                             Krishna

That fills the day with enchanting charisma.

                          the great spiritual icon

Followers revere him as another Krishna,

                       with similar mood and complexion.

Shades of "Abir" fills the air with fragrance
